| New Ulster Champions |
On Saturday the Ulster Youth Road race Championships were promoted by Orchard Wheelers at Hamiltonsbawn, Armagh. Ards were represented by Richard Thompson and Matthew McKee in the Under 16 race and Clifford Blayney in the Under 14s. Thompson placed 7th in the Under 16 race which was 25 miles long while McKee completed three laps of the circuit. Clifford Blayney just missed out on a bronze in the Under 14 race.
The new champions are as follows Beginner Youth-Mark Downey(Banbridge CC) U12-Jack Wilson(East Antrim) U14-Peter Williams(Orchard Wheelers) U16-Sean Downey(Banbridge CC) Photo-Ards CCs Richard Thompson, Clifford Blayeny and Matthew McKee all took part in the championships today. |
