Ards Cycling Clubs president Billy Kirk received awards at the Cycling Ulster Dinner and Awards night on Friday at the Masserene Golf Club. Billy had a successful 2009 season resulting in him winning the veterans league and the 25 mile time trial championship on Age Standard. Ards CCs Jack Watson was presented with Honorary Life Memnbership of Cycling Ireland in recognition of his services to the sport for over 40 years. Morris Foster was also honoured in the same way and the current Cycling Ireland President Rory Wyley was at the dinner to present the medals to the two stalwarts. The evening was a great success with over 100 in attendance including underage members.
